The program was also refreshed with new characters who continue to teach young students about the importance of oral health in an engaging, fun way that makes learning more impactful.

The Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation is in partnership with the Illinois Children’s Healthcare Foundation for a $3 million grant program for COVID-19 relief efforts and to ensure Illinois children continue to have access to vital oral health services. Grants are for Federally Qualified Health Centers and other public health clinics integrating oral health into a primary health care setting and aim to assist Illinois health care providers who offer a safety net for children in need.

While infection control was always a top priority, dental offices are now taking additional safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, following state and national guidelines to help keep patients and staff healthy.

In this ongoing uncertain time, we remain steadfast in our commitment to the health and safety of those we serve. We are here for our members and know that right now, a smile can go a long way. Though we cannot currently do things like visit family and friends or dine at restaurants, we still have the ability to brighten someone’s day with a smile, whether from six feet away or virtually.
