Delta Dental of Illinois is committed to improving health and well-being in our community and furthers this commitment through the work of its 501(c)(3) charitable arm, Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation. Corporate citizenship is just one of our enterprise values.

At Delta Dental of Illinois and Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation, we believe all of our members and every Illinoisan deserve a healthy smile because we know that oral health is essential to overall health and well-being. This belief guides us — as do our core values of engaging in and supporting local communities, bettering the environment for a sustainable future, and ensuring we are an inclusive enterprise.

This commitment extends to our grantmaking, educational program delivery and training, dental school partnerships, and community support. By expanding access to care, funding facilities and training for dentists, and providing education for local communities, we support the oral and overall health of those we serve and all Illinoisans.

Our commitment includes:

• Fostering health equity and inclusion through community involvement and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives

In the past decade, combined efforts of Delta Dental of Illinois and Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation have provided more than $30 million to programs and organizations in Illinois that improve the oral health of the state’s residents.

Through our internal Enterprise Philanthropy and Community Engagement Team made up of a group of employees across the organization, Delta Dental of Illinois puts our commitment and associated values into action. We've collaborated with impactful organizations in our community, such as:

• American Lung Association (ALA)
• Loaves & Fishes
• Illinois High School Association (IHSA)
• Adopt-a-Highway
• Hope for the Day
• Dental Lifeline Network
• Chicago United
• Hispanic Dental Association Foundation, and many more.

Together, we made great strides in making a difference and creating positive change in our communities.

So far this year, Delta Dental of Illinois is partnering with a number of incredible organizations, including the American Lung Association (ALA), Adopt-a-Highway, Loaves & Fishes, Dental Lifeline Network, Anderson Humane, and more! With donations to organizations totaling over $270,000 (to date) and 210 hours of volunteer time in 2023 from our employees, we are proud of the impact we have made on our community and can't wait to continue making a difference.
