Delta Dental of Illinois recognized as one of Chicago’s best places to work
Posted on March 5, 2021 in General oral health
Delta Dental of Illinois, the state’s leading dental benefits carrier providing coverage to more than 2 million people nationwide, has been named one of Crain’s 2021 Best Places to Work in Chicago.*
The recognition by Crain’s Chicago Business is based on a survey of thousands of employees about the types of working conditions, benefits and corporate culture that make a company a great place to work. The awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the 100 best companies to work for in Chicago.
Winners were determined by the results of a weighted survey of employees and employers, conducted by Crain’s in partnership with Best Companies Group.
Taking care of Illinoisans’ and all members’ health starts with caring for the enterprise’s own employees. Delta Dental of Illinois is proud of this recognition of its workplace culture, which is the foundation of all it does. The enterprise promotes a culture of inclusivity where it embraces diversity and fosters open dialogue to ultimately drive better outcomes for those it serves.
Over the past year, companies needed to adapt to quickly changing circumstances due to the pandemic. All Delta Dental of Illinois employees shifted to working remotely as the company navigated stay-at-home orders and worked to keep its workforce healthy and safe.
That caring extended to the community, with Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation donating more than $3.5 million in COVID-19 relief efforts over the past year to ensure all Illinoisans have access to quality health care.
Companies considered for Crain’s 2021 Best Places to Work in Chicago included both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, as well as government entities with at least 25 employees. Businesses must be located in Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry or Will County.
