Eighty-six Illinois schools will receive new water bottle-filling stations to encourage students to drink more water as part of H2O On the Go, a new grant program by Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation and Illinois Children’s Healthcare Foundation.
H2O On the Go allows for easier access to drinking water for Illinois students while at school and helps encourage them to choose water instead of sugary beverages such as soda, juice and sports drinks.

National Junk Food Day, recognized July 21, may be a time people think about their favorite junk foods or have a “cheat day” from their otherwise healthier diets. But this day can serve as a reminder it is important to be conscious of one’s diet and avoid eating too much junk food.
With summer sports in full swing, it may be especially easy to grab snacks and drinks that aren't very tooth friendly. However, healthy, nutritious snacks can be just as convenient with a little planning.

Studies show that men are less likely than women to take care of their health in general - and oral health even less. Good oral health is linked to longevity and men are less likely to visit a dentist for regular preventive dental care, often neglecting their oral health and only visiting a dentist when a problem arises. Regular dental cleanings and exams, along with daily flossing and twice-daily brushing, are key to maintaining a healthy smile.

In this ongoing uncertain time, we remain steadfast in our commitment to the health and safety of those we serve. We are here for our members and know that right now, a smile can go a long way. Though we cannot currently do things like visit family and friends or dine at restaurants, we still have the ability to brighten someone’s day with a smile, whether from six feet away or virtually.

Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation, the 501(c)(3) charitable arm of Delta Dental of Illinois, today announced it will provide $1.5 million to help ensure Illinoisans continue to receive vital health services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Foundation is providing $500,000 to support the Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS) Foundation. It is also launching a $1 million emergency grants program to Federally Qualified Health Centers in Illinois.
