Learn the difference between Delta Dental PPO and Premier networks.

With a dental PPO plan, you are free to see any licensed dentist. However, you will save the most money by visiting a dentist Delta Dental network dentist. Delta Dental PPO and Delta Dental Premier dentists must follow our processing policies and guidelines and meet our credentialing standards. 

  • Delta Dental PPO is a PPO network where dentists who participate agree to reduced costs as payment in full. Members who use a Delta Dental PPO will have the lowest out-of-pocket costs.
  • Delta Dental Premier is a managed fee-for-service network where dentists agree to a maximum plan allowance as payment in full. Members who use a Delta Dental Premier dentist will have higher out-of-pocket costs compared to a non-network dentist.

Most plans feature Delta Dental PPO Plus Delta Dental Premier where members can receive in-network benefits from both networks. This offers members more choice and network protections.
