Cancel out Cancer

Posted on April 18, 2013 in General oral health

Let's face the terrible facts surrounding this disease. Oral cancer kills close to 25% of the people diagnosed. Of the 35,000 people diagnosed with oral cancer, only about 50% of them will be alive after 5 years. The death rate is so high because many symptoms go unnoticed. Late diagnosis of oral cancer is by far the most prominent reason victims do not recover.

During Oral Cancer Awareness Month, I encourage you to take the time to visit your dentist. A quick oral exam can give you peace of mind or save your life with early detection.
