Delta Dental of Illinois launched a new suite of dental benefit plans for Illinois individuals and families who don’t receive dental benefit coverage from an employer. The new plans — Premium, Progressive, Elevated and Base — incorporate features and options individuals and their families are seeking and aim to provide the most comprehensive and flexible coverage for Illinois consumers.

The individual and family dental plans, which became available July 1, have more features including occlusal (night) guard coverage, veneers, whitening, implants, tooth-colored fillings on all teeth and more.

These new plans are based on the Delta Dental PPO Plus Premier network.  While members can visit any dentist they choose, they will receive network benefits from both the Delta Dental PPO and Delta Dental Premier dental networks.

Dental coverage helps people get the oral health care they need. Those with dental coverage are nearly two times as likely to visit their dentist annually compared to those without coverage. Preventive care like exams and cleanings are covered at 100% in Delta Dental of Illinois individual plans and are essential in spotting conditions that could turn into larger issues impacting health and financial well-being.

All plans include whitening and Delta Dental of Illinois’ Enhanced Benefits Program, which offers additional exams, cleanings and fluoride treatments for those with specific health conditions. See more plan highlights:
