Foundation Spotlight: Wisdom Tooth Award

The Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation, the 501(c)3 philanthropic arm of Delta Dental of Illinois, launched their first ever Wisdom Tooth Award. The $100,000 annual award will recognize one Illinois nonprofit organization that has made a significant impact on improving Illinois children's oral health with a proven program that provides oral health education and/or access to oral health resources and care.

Applications were accepted during the month of September and the Wisdom Tooth Award recipient will be announced in January 2014.

The Foundation's Grants Committee will select the top 3 applicants and the organizations will be featured on Delta Dental of Illinois' Facebook page during the week of November 18. Delta Dental of Illinois Facebook fans can vote for their organization/program that they deem deserving of the award. The Facebook voting will be one measure in the evaluation of the Wisdom Tooth Award recipient.
