Baby Basics

Posted on January 9, 2014 in Children’s Oral Health

If I had a dollar for every time someone said baby teeth don't matter, I'd be a millionaire. This is extremely unfortunate since the problems we have with childhood tooth decay can be prevented in the future with a little education.

It is NOT true that baby teeth don't matter. In fact, baby teeth set the very foundation that healthy habits will be built upon.

Baby teeth are placeholders for adult teeth; meaning if baby teeth aren’t cared for, adult teeth can suffer as a result. And that's not all – if a child doesn't learn the basic preventive care as a child, chances are good that oral health won't be a priority when he or she becomes an adult.

There are many more negative repercussions for unhealthy baby teeth. Place your child on the right path and be meticulous about his or her oral health!
