Many dental offices are having difficulties in recruiting new office personnel, as well as retaining existing staff. And many are reporting the need to cross-train staff to cover during office absences. We hear you and recognize that it is more important than ever to retain dental staff and build their skills. Free Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) Certification

Free Online Courses for Dental Assistants and Front Office Staff

Delta Dental of Illinois is partnering with with Dental Assisting National Board, Inc. (DANB) and the DALE Foundation, an ADA CERP and AGD PACE Program Provider to offer dental assistants and front office staff free courses. All courses are online, and topics range from anatomy and infection control to financial reporting. Learn more and apply.

Free Continuing Education Series on Special Patient Dental Care

With support from Delta Dental, Penn Dental Medicine is offering the Center for Persons with Disabilities Presentation Series to any U.S. licensed dentist and their team at no charge. The goal of this continuing education series is to develop competency, build awareness and improve access to oral health care for individuals with disabilities. The series offers live webinars and on-demand courses. Dentists completing 18 or more of the courses within a three-year period will receive a certificate of completion from Penn Dental Medicine, an ADA CERP Provider, as a Disabilities Dentistry Clinician Expert. Register now and learn more.

CPR Classes

Offered in partnership with Edward Elmhurst Health, these CPR courses meets all State of Illinois Basic Life Support (BLS) certification requirements. CPR courses are free for network dentists, and dental office staff can attend for a nominal fee. Learn more and register.
