Land of Smiles
Since its inception, “The Land of Smiles” has been performed more than 500 times at schools throughout Illinois and been seen by more than 100,000 children. Each child receives an oral health bag which includes a toothbrush, floss and educational information. The characters explain good and bad foods for the teeth, why it is important to visit the dentist at least twice a year, and demonstrate good oral health techniques using an oversized tooth model and toothbrush.
The 2012/2013 Land of Smiles program kicked off in January. Click here to view the schools Land of Smiles is visiting. It is a terrific program with a great oral health message.
